Ballot title

The ballot title for Proposition A was as follows:

Shall the Commissioners Court of Tarrant County, Texas, be authorized to issue bonds of said county in the aggregate principal amount of $400,000,000 for purchasing, constructing, reconstructing, renovating, rehabilitating, improving and maintaining streets, roads, highways and bridges within tarrant county, including city, state and county streets, roads, highways and bridges and for the acquisition of land and rights-of-way therefor; such bonds to mature serially or otherwise over a period not to exceed forty (40) years from the date of issuance of each series of bonds in accordance with law, to be issued in one or more series or issues at any price or prices and to bear interest at any rate or rates (fixed, floating, variable or otherwise and not exceed the maximum rate prescribed by law) as shall be determined within the discretion of the Commissioners Court under laws in effect at the time of issuance or sale of the bonds; and shall the Commissioners Court of the county be authorized to levy and pledge, and cause to be assessed and collected, annual ad valorem taxes, on all taxable property in the county sufficient to pay principal of and interest on the bonds and the cost of any credit agreements executed in connection with the bonds?
