Campaign themes

2014

Tooley's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[2]

Public education

  • Excerpt: "If we want a vibrant city with a future we can all look forward to, we must do all we can to provide every child with a world-class education that give them the skills to succeed. To do this, Pennsylvania needs leaders who will fight for the right of every child to attend a great school, for the rights of teachers who work tirelessly to educate our children, and for the rights of parents who want the best for their children. We need a school system that is funded appropriately, and that doesn’t balance budgets on the backs of our children."

Growing and Accessing Jobs

  • Excerpt: "We cannot lift up our communities and escape the shackles of poverty without access to good paying jobs. As your State Representative, Tatiana will support Allentown’s working families and ensure that anyone seeking gainful employment has the tools and access they need to be successful in the workplace."

Tackling hunger

  • Excerpt: "Now more than ever, we need to ensure that the safety net is preserved and strengthened. As State Representative, Tatiana will make restoring the safety net a priority, and will work with colleagues in Harrisburg to grow access to healthy foods for all our families."
