I have been happily married for 34 years and have resided in Northfield Township since 2015. I have a passion for liberty and enjoy making new friends.

My brother, sister, and I enjoyed childhood in Michigan with the 5 of us living in a small ranch house in Westland. An associate's degree in Applied Sciences from Schoolcraft College followed my 1983 graduation from Wayne Memorial High School. As a small business owner, I enjoyed an amateur career as a performing artist under the stage name 'Lemon James.' I have enjoyed running races and occasional marathons, completing the Boston Marathon in 2004. But my latest adventure is exploring Ham radio with my recently acquired general class license.

The game of politics… My foray into politics began in 2008 when folks were tripping over themselves to support a presidential candidate they knew little about. Becoming a Wayne County precinct delegate and a member of the Wayne County Republican Committee, I assisted with many local candidate campaigns. From 2016-2020, I served as an elected trustee in the township of Northfield in Washtenaw County. Becoming active in the Washtenaw Republican party, I co-chaired the "Take Back Our Schools" committee and assisted with various candidate campaigns. I have worked election cycles as an Election Inspector for Northfield Township and Washtenaw County.
  • Tawn is concerned with restoring local government control over large-scale wind, solar, and other infrastructure installations within one's local community. Tawn will remain steadfast as a servant to the people to protect their liberties and rights and refuse to be bullied or bought by corporate lobbyists and special interest groups.
  • Tawn will seek ways to work within the bounds of the constitution to shore up the integrity of the elections in Michigan. Constituent concerns over alleged anomalies in the Michigan voter rolls are a prime motivator for this issue. She views elections as the citizenry's peaceful means of guiding the direction of their government.
  • As a passionate advocate for "Education Choice," Tawn deeply understands that every student should have the opportunity to access high-quality education that aligns with their family's values. She is committed to promoting policies that ensure equal education opportunities for all children.
I am dedicated to initiating or supporting policies that protect the innocent unborn to the greatest extent possible within the bounds of the new state law. I also believe in policies that reduce taxation and financial burdens on citizens and minimize regulatory burdens on businesses and consumers. Lastly, I am committed to policies that protect, support, or restore the rights of the people.
The chief responsibility of anyone elected to public office, is to protect the rights of the governed.
No legacy, just a republic for the next generation to enjoy and protect.
Transparancy and accountability are of paramount importance and should be readily available to the public.
