The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was May 28, 2014. Scott Prior was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent David Farnsworth defeated Taylor McArthur in the Republican primary. Farnsworth defeated Prior in the general election.[2][3][4][5]
