Pennsylvania: Since the implementation of video-conferencing technology in Montgomery County's courtrooms, the county has saved $1 million. The new technology was implemented in 2001 and has cut costs due to a reduction of inmate transportation and other transportation costs to and from the prison.[1]

Pennsylvania
“I anticipate growth in all areas of video conferencing in the upcoming year because the program has now become an integral part of the daily court routine. Cost-saving benefits, courthouse safety and outside revenue are concrete benefits of the success of video-conferencing in the courtroom.”[1] - Sharon M. Drach, county video technology manager[2]

Last year the court saved $359,337 in transportation costs by using video-conference technology.[1]
