There was a Tempe Tourism Bed Tax Increase measure on the March 9 ballot in Maricopa County for voters in the city of Tempe.
This measure was approved[1]
This measure sought to increase the bed tax for the city by 2 percent, making it 14.07 percent of the rate of a rented room. This tax will generate around $1.7 million for the city which would go towards the tourism industry.[2]
