The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Development Compact is an interstate compact among Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee, and also has congressional consent. The purpose of the compact is to promote development of the waterway and its economic and trade potential.[1][2]

The legislature of each member state passes the laws with certain modifications, but the core of the legislation remains the same.
