It was truly disheartening to see our current state legislators table every bill related to medical cannabis until 2023. Tennessee is one of only 11 states that do not have medical cannabis despite proven benefits to those that struggle with PTSD and other medical issues There are too many conflicts of interest with Big Pharma and our legislatures. Our state legislators want to put marijuana on the ballot. This is just another stall tactic. We know that 80% of Tennesseans support medical cannabis.

We need to expand Medicaid. Medical debt is the leading cause of bankruptcy in Tennessee. We spend 8 million on tourism initiatives and 2 million for the underinsured residents of Tennessee. It's easy to donate to parking garages and museums. We should be as eager to help low wage workers.

I am for the rights of parents in education. All children deserve a fair education. Parents should have more oversight with the school curriculum

We need term limits at the state level. We have people in office that are only concerned with their base. We have a super majority of Republicans at the state level. Most of our legislators run unopposed. I am running as an Independent because I see issues with our two party system. Everyone voice matters and I want to see a legislative body that better reflects the concerns of the least of us. We want to punish people for being poor. I want us to get back to compromise. What can we agree on and what can we do to make everyone's life a little better!
