Tennessee election results: 2010

Tennessee: Yesterday, Tennessee held the last of the state's judicial elections. Retention elections were held for one justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court and one judge of the Tennessee Court of Appeals. Voters also decided on judges to represent the people at the county level.
- Sharon Lee was retained to the Supreme Court, receiving 68.27% of the vote.[1]
- John McClarty was retained to the Court of Appeals, receiving 68.24% of the vote. (68.24%).[1]
In Coffee County:
- Vanessa Agee Jackson was re-elected to the 14th District Court, winning 54.6% of the vote.[2]
In Shelby County:
- Bill Anderson Jr. defeated 19 other candidates to win the open seat on the General Sessions Court, Division 7. He won with 14.93% of the vote.[4]
- For the Division 10 seat on the General Sessions Court, Chris Turner overwhelmingly defeated the recently appointed Lee Wilson. Turner won 73.78% of the vote.[4]
- Gina Carol Higgins won 39.98% of the vote in the Division 4 race for the 30th District Court.[4]
- For the Division 8 seat on the same court, Robert Weiss defeated incumbent Rhynette Hurd, along with two other opponents. Weiss won by receiving 39.18% of the vote. [4]
- In the race for the Division 3 seat on the 30th District Criminal Court, Bobby Carter won the seat vacated by John P. Colton. Carter won with 25.91% of the vote.[4]
