Tennessee’s judicial elections are held in August, not November. There were very few elections this year, however.

At the Court of Appeals level, two judges were up for retention, Jeff Bivins and Roger A. Page. Both judges were appointed in 2011 by Gov. Haslam and both were retained.

There were two races on the Circuit Court level. Incumbent Tammy Harrington of the Fifth Circuit was retained after being appointed to the seat in May 2011 by Gov. Haslam. Mike Binkley, however, is a new judge on the court. He won a contested Republican primary to go on to unopposed victory in August.

All in all, it was a quiet year in Tennessee for judicial elections.
