I am a two time Iraq War Veteran, serving for 11 Years in the United States Army earning an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant. I also served as at the Cincinnati VAMC for 3 years, where I was a Union Steward with AFGE Local 2031. I am a Graduate of Walnut Hills High School and Xavier University. Currently I am a small business owner of Veterans Employment Staffing Team, and a father of three children.
- Restore Honor and Integrity to the Fighting 33rd
- Servant Leadership
- I will work to strengthen our local community councils and empower our communities to be civically engaged.
I would fund a constitutionally compliant school funding system by constructing a baseline per pupil amount that is based upon the learning resources available in our public schools. I would then work to ensure that adequate funding is mandated to follow each pupil and is not solely reliant upon property taxes. I would look for new opportunities to generate revenue available in the state and ensure that these funds are directed to supplement costs in areas where property tax revenues are low. I would suggest that the state imposes a ban on the sale and use of assault weapons, weapons of war. Further, I am for the imposing of a Universal Background Check for all gun purchases in our state. Lastly, I would work to eliminate the straw purchase loophole with the intent to stop the selling or furnishing of handguns to those otherwise not lawfully permitted to possess a firearm.I was successful at establishing a consensus during negotiations and bargaining in good faith towards a solution that involved opposing parties while serving as a Union Steward at the Cincinnati VAMC. I was also successful in establishing a bipartisan relationship with the Secretary of State Frank LaRose's office leading an effort to promote cyber awareness and voter reregistration efforts throughout our state. As a Veteran, I have experience working together across the political spectrum.
I look up to Brother Dr. Martin Luther King Jr because he persevered and sacrificed his life in an effort to promote humanity, kindness and enlightenment to all people during a time when racial injustices were the social norm of this country. He truly worked to empower the people and believe that things could change and life could be different if we work towards a common solution of true understanding of one another.
The Power of Servant Leadership by Robert K Greenleaf
Honesty, Integrity and understanding that we are serving the people.
I am a humble and servant leader for the people. I have continued to be an effective communicator and possess the capacity to engage all walks of life on their level to first establish a connection and develop criteria to better understand what is before me.
To lead by example. To be competent and capable to be a role model for future generations.
I would like to leave a legacy that inspires the next generation of leaders that if you lead with your heart, keep your ear to the ground that you can and will truly uplift and transcend all.
The first historical event in my lifetime was the Challenger explosion while my classmates and I were watching during a school special assembly. I was approximately 5 years old.
My first job was being employed at Auntie Anne's at the age of 14. I worked throughout high school and college to help support myself, along with my family's support throughout 8 years at Auntie Anne's. I started working when wages were at $4.25 per hour and worked my way up the career ladder, obtaining the position of Crew Leader while being a student in college.
The Two Wars. It helped me understand the transition back to being a civilian after my military service and the construct of our adaption post military service.
Being quiet when I see an injustice or void of leadership.
I believe the most important difference in our chambers is that while we represent a wide variety of constituents we are supposed to serve the people of our great State of Ohio, collectively.
Yes. I have served for over 11 years in the United States Army, 3 years at the Department of Veterans Affairs and twice deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. All of these experiences have helped me serve in leadership roles while preserving the values of The Constitution.
Establishing a constitutionally compliant funding system for our public schools. Ensuring all Ohioans have access to affordable health care and to find a solution to the lack of affordable housing across our state.
I believe that a firm relationship between the governor and state legislative body is important. We need to understand and respect each other's perspectives while also finding ways to communicate effectively to meet the needs of the people we serve.
Yes. Support is needed for any legislative action to take place. Working in a bipartisan fashion is always the best way to address the needs of the people.

Our residents within our district want leadership that they can believe in and trust. A community leader that is visible and present to hear the concerns of the community.
