Housholder ran for election to the 30th Judicial Circuit Court.
Primary: She was defeated in the Republican primary on August 5, 2014, receiving 19.2 percent of the vote. She competed against David T. Tunnell and Cynthia R. Black.

Education
Housholder attended Missouri State University (formerly Southwest Missouri State University) to earn her B.S. in psychology with a double minor in criminal justice studies and music (concentration in vocal performance). She went to University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law for her J.D.[3]
