Campaign themes

2016

The following issues were listed on Andres' campaign website. For a full list of campaign themes, click here.

  • Water: Our entire Valley economy is dependent upon water. Without water, our farmland cannot be utilized to its fullest. Without our farmland in full production, our communities do not thrive. We can and must ENLARGE our existing water storage capacities. Funding can be negotiated to build a Temperance Flat Reservoir.
  • Immigration: Immigration is an issue that both parties agree has to be addressed. The existing system is lengthy and causes major separation of families.
  • Education: Government has too much involvement in education. Current COMMON CORE curriculum either has to be reformed, or replaced. Our communities deserve to have local control.
  • Federal Deficit and Tax Code: We have to reign in wasteful spending and programs that make the economic situation too deep to climb from. Our Tax on the Middle Class and Small Business has got to be brought down.
  • Forest Management: We are facing hundreds of thousands of diseased and dead trees in National Forests. We had massive air pollution due to an extended fire in the fall of 2015. My goal would have funding go towards the HEALTHY REMOVAL of this over growth.
