- Teri Hourihan is focused on fixing the corruption in Arizona that is inundating all state agencies and governmental systems and hurting the public. Teri realizes that when the healthcare systems in Arizona are negatively effected the entire state suffers. Populations who suffer the most are the most vulnerable, to include homeless people, people addicted to substances, people with mental illness, and people on Medicare and Longterm Care.
- Teri Hourihan is not a career politician but instead a licensed professional counselor and PHD, business owner, CEO, and entering the race because she sees the wrong happening in Arizona to people, business owners, and her community, as a native of Arizona, and wants to macro and micro changes to positively impact all people and communities. Teri is different from other candidates by her being part of the public and community currently. Teri being part of the community and coming into the race is to give a voice to the community through her. Teri states "we need leaders who understand the problems the public experiences daily."
- Teri Hourihan chose to run for Governor in the Arizona Independent Party to be a voice needed to cut through the political "wars" happening in the two party system that is politics over people aimed. Teri wants to truly focus on people, not politics. Teri believes that an Independent voice as the top leader in Arizona is the answer to bringing peace into politics and the issues at the center to fix.
