KC recently retired from Pine Middle School as a math teacher. I still hold an active real estate license at Haute Properties NV, and we’re thrilled to be close to our children and grandchildren. We love this area and chose to retire here. We have found a home that we truly love in Reno. I’ve got three grown children, two grown stepchildren and nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren on the way. Our lives are full, and we’re deeply rooted in this community.
Recent events have compelled me to step forward and seek election as the assemblywoman for District 24. I felt called to fill the void of leadership in my district and offer myself as a candidate. At 70 years young, with a background in real estate and caregiving, including owning a care home for developmentally disabled adults, I bring a wealth of life experience and a heart for advocating for the marginalized in our society. My heart is for the children, seniors, the disabled, and veterans. Also, for small businesses and parental rights.- As a new assembly member, I will prioritize legislation that promotes voter integrity, I encourage to vote NO on question 3 rank choice voting. (it's rounding out to the closest number) Our vote is our most precious gift as a U.S. citizen. If you vote incorrectly, they can exhaust your ballot, which means TRASH it! If they have problems NOW counting the votes, how will they ever count RCV? I believe One vote, one person. I'm for ensuring voter integrity, by returning our voting system back to pre-COVID format.
- I’m for parental rights. I will advocate to protect our children from being sexualized in our schools and from being sex trafficked. I believe we need to follow Idaho's lead regarding a law their legislator just passed, giving the death penalty to pedophiles, and I'd add, child sex traffickers. My heart is unashamedly for the children. I want to protect Nevada's belief that the parent is the foundation of their child's well-being, not the state's. I'm against this Nevada constitutional abortion amendment to be voted on in November. Nevada already has legal abortion up to 24 weeks/6months. Why this amendment? It's not really about abortion, it's about taking away parental medical rights. VOTE NO!
- I'm for fiscal responsibility and economic growth. One of my key proposals will be a bill aimed at reducing state regulations to make it easier for businesses to operate and expand, which will create more jobs and drive economic prosperity in our district. I am against the State income tax initiative. I will work to make everyday expenses like gas and groceries affordable for everyone. And to ensure our community remains a safe place to live and work. And let me make clear, I am against immoral economic and medical mandates that shut down small businesses, Schools and our churches.
