Teron Haynes was born in Centreville, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army from 2013 to 2018. He earned a bachelor's degree from Methodist University in 2021. His career experience includes working as an investigator.[1]

Teron Haynes has a background in investigations and finds deep passion in anything involving justice. He also spent 5 years in the United States Army, earning multiple service medals and awards including an Army Achievement Medal for orchestrating a blood drive while serving.
Teron Haynes is a public servant with a deep passion for creating reasonable, responsible, and respectable solutions. Haynes is looking to bring his investigative expertise, understanding of justice , and police practices to a board that is looking for structure and wisdom.- Structure and strengthen the Board of Police Commissioners through collaborative efforts with Detroit's city council and other legislative entities.
- Reinstitute the Board of Police Commissioners right to oversee the Detroit Police Department by utilizing the City's Charter and all of its designated rights afforded to board.
- Cooperate with the Detroit Police Department in incorporating new policy that creates a balance between sworn officer's physical and mental health in an effort to make Detroiters feel safer about the officers serving them.
