I was born and raised in Omaha, I've lived in just about every section of the city of Omaha but District 11 has always been my home. I have five siblings, two brothers, and three sisters. I wear many hats but the number one job I have is being a father to my nine-year-old daughter Sana'a. My daily life primarily consists of community organizing, attending community events and meetings, coaching wrestling at Omaha North Magnet High School and for Ready RP Nationals Wrestling, co-hosting a weekly podcast, starting in the fall I will be attending Creighton University School of Law.
  • I decided to run because growing up poor I realized it was on me to change my circumstances our District is in need of change and its important that someone from my generation step up and pick up the baton from our elders
  • Our district is in need of change which means new ideas, perspectives, and leadership
  • We can either seek change or stick with status quo
Economic Equity and Opportunity

Criminal Justice Reform
Education

Health Care Access
I look up to Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, Huey P Newton, Martin Luther Kings Jr, and Ernie Chambers because they all assisted in laying the blueprint for my generation to follow to fight for Black/African American communities across America.
I am a natural listener I can also adapt to any situation and persevere. Most importantly I'm it's not about me it's about helping people.
Fight to pass legislation to benefit our district also fight off any possible legislation that may harm our district. One must also be forward-thinking to ensure longterm stability for residents and businesses in our district.
In the end I just want to be remembered as someone that unapologetically fought for his people.
The first historical event that I really recall was 9/11 I was eleven years old in the sixth grade.
My very first job was as a busboy at a local diner cleaning tables I worked there for maybe two months before I started my freshman semester of college.
The Autobiography of Malcolm X because its an example for many in my community to see that your past doesn't make your future and that you can overcome anything.
Being born black in America during the war on drugs its been an uphill battle to with never-ending obstacles.
One of the benefits is only one body is addressing legislation in our state, the drawback its constructed in favor of one party/area of the state. It doesnt fully represent of state ever-changing population.
Providing economic equity and opportunity to all Nebraskans and opening our state up to new ideas and initiatives like states across the country.
The ideal relationship between governor and state legislator should be one the encourages constant positive communication and respect to grow our state.
Yes, because that is the only way to be effective and to also get legislation passed.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Nebraska

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
