Terrell Pruitt
Terrell Pruitt is the former nonpartisan Ward 1 representative on the Cleveland City Council in Ohio. He was appointed to the council in September 2008, following the resignation of Nina Turner. He first won election to the council in December 2008.[1][2] Pruitt lost a re-election campaign in the general election on November 7, 2017.
Biography
Pruitt holds a B.S. from Cleveland State University. He is a Captain in the Ohio Army National Guard. His service record includes deployments to Afghanistan and Louisiana.[2]
Elections
2017
The city of Cleveland, Ohio, held elections on November 7, 2017. A primary election occurred on September 12, 2017. The mayor and all 17 seats on the city council were up for election. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was June 29, 2017.[3]
Joe Jones defeated incumbent Terrell Pruitt in the general election for Ward 1 of the Cleveland City Council.[4]

Joe Jones and incumbent Terrell Pruitt defeated Kimberly Brown in the primary election for Ward 1 of the Cleveland City Council.[5]
