Terrence J. Campbell is a member of the law firm of Barber Emerson, L.C. in Lawrence, Kansas. Campbell was nominated by President Barack Obama on January 28, 2016, to be a judge on the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.[1] On January 3, 2017, Campbell's nomination was returned to President Obama at the sine die adjournment of the 114th Congress.[2]

Campbell earned his B.A. magna cum laude from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, in 1992 and his J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1997.[1]

Campbell was nominated by President Barack Obama on January 28, 2016, to be a judge on the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. Obama commented on the nomination, "Terrence J. Campbell has had a distinguished legal career and I am honored to ask him to serve as a judge on the federal bench. I am confident he will serve the American people with distinction from the District Court bench."[1]

The American Bar Association rated Campbell Majority Well Qualified, Minority Qualified for the nomination.[3]

On January 3, 2017, Campbell's nomination was returned to President Obama at the sine die adjournment of the 114th Congress.[2]
