I am originally from Alabama. I am a home owner in East Hill, Nashville, TN. I am an animal lover and an avid reader. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. I have worked for EY, a big 4 accounting firm, for the last 24 years. In my role at EY, I provide complex, in-depth financial analysis for multiple domestic and global projects to senior EY management.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: I firmly believe in the importance of responsible fiscal management. Fiscal responsibility is at the core of every household and every business and should be at the core of our Nashville Metro government. I will advocate for balanced budgets, reduced government spending, and lower taxes. By promoting prudent financial decisions, we can ensure that taxpayer dollars are utilized efficiently and effectively. I am committed to identifying areas of waste (budget oversight of the new Titan Stadium), streamlining government operations, and fostering a business-friendly environment that encourages economic growth and job creation while maintaining Nashville as a city to live first, and a place to visit second.
  • Infrastructure and Public Safety: Investing in essential infrastructure and ensuring public safety are absolutely paramount to fostering a thriving and secure community. I will work diligently to address our city's infrastructure needs, including road repairs, transportation options, and efficient public services. Additionally, I am committed to supporting our police and fire departments, ensuring they have the necessary resources to protect our neighborhoods and maintain law and order.
  • Collaboration and Transparency: To effectively serve the residents of Nashville, I believe in open and transparent governance. I will actively seek input from constituents, engaging in meaningful dialogue and incorporating diverse perspectives into decision-making processes. I am dedicated to fostering a spirit of collaboration among council members, community organizations, and residents, working together to achieve common goals and create positive change.
Local Engagement: I am a strong advocate for local engagement, recognizing the importance of decisions being made at the closest possible level to the people they affect. As a Nashville Metro Council member for District 5, I will prioritize the empowerment of our local communities, ensuring that their voices are heard and their concerns addressed by keeping them informed of bills put before the Council, the pros and cons of these bills, as well as the long term affects of such bills. I will work to reduce unnecessary bureaucracy and streamline government processes. I will encourage every Nashville resident to pay attention and stay involved in their local government. This direct involvement will result in more power and autonomy to neighborhoods and residents to shape their own future.
