Terry Baxter
Terry Baxter (Republican Party) was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 8. He assumed office on January 1, 2015. He left office on January 1, 2023.
Baxter (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives to represent District 8. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Biography
Terry Baxter grew up in Cambridge, Minnesota, and graduated from public schools. He attended both Whitewater State University and St. Cloud State University before earning his bachelor of arts degree from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Terry was ordained in the Evangelical Free Church of America. He served for 18 years with International Messengers based in Clear Lake, Iowa, as a national and international teacher, conference speaker, and writer. He is a co-founder of GoServ Global based in Eagle Grove, Iowa.[1]

Elections for the Iowa House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Nancy Paule Huisinga was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Henry V. Rayhons was unopposed in the Republican primary. Huisinga faced Terry Baxter (R) in the general election. Baxter filed to run on August 15, 2014, after Rayhons withdrew from the race on August 6, 2014.[6][7][8][9] Baxter defeated Huisinga in the general election.[10]
