Terry Gallagher (Democratic Party) is a judge for the 4th Subcircuit of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. His current term ends on December 2, 2030.

Gallagher ran for re-election for the 4th Subcircuit judge of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He won in the retention election on November 5, 2024.

Biography

Terry Gallagher received his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University in 1981 and his J.D. degree from the Seattle University School of Law in 1987.[1] Gallagher is a former member of the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps. After leaving the Navy, he has worked as a private practice attorney in Chicago. In 1996, he started his own law practice. In 2012, he was elected to the Cook County 4th Subcircuit.[1]

Gallagher was elected on Nov. 6, 2012, defeating Harry J. Fournier with 62.0% of the vote. He previously won the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012, receiving 30.03% of the vote in the five-way race.[2][3][4][5]
