Terry Jennings
Terry Jennings is a former justice on the First District Court of Appeals in Texas. He took office on January 1, 2001 and was re-elected on November 6, 2012. His term expired on December 31, 2018.[1][2][3] He did not seek re-election in 2018.
Education
Justice Jennings received his B.A. in government from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1988.[1]
Career
Jennings began working in the Harris County District Attorney's Office in 1990. He was promoted to the Special Crimes Bureau in 1994 and worked in this capacity until his election to the Court of Appeals in November of 2000. He was re-elected in 2006 as the unopposed incumbent.[1][4]

Jennings defeated judicial candidate Natalia Cokinos Oakes in the general election on November 6, 2012, with 53.6 percent of the vote.[5][6]
