My family were war refugees fleeing communist Vietnam. I was born and raised in Chicago. Worked from family owned businesses, companies, military and now in healthcare. Illinois has the highest overall tax burden, worst state to start a business, worst state in fiscally stability, worst state to retire in, worst bonds crisis, 3rd highest unemployment rate in the nation, worst pension crisis & one of the most corrupt states. As a person coming from a business owning family I know how hard it is to run a small business here. I've also had friends and family who were affected by crime first hand. I want to run on making life more affordable, cut taxes, business friendly policies, personal freedoms and public safety. We will create a job boom in the private sector. Studies show that only 20% of students read at grade level and 15% do math at grade level. We need to expand School Choice to give minorities equal opportunities to a quality education. There are many students who graduate high school and are financially illiterate not knowing how to balance a check or pay their bills. We will expand on basic finance classes and also expand on trade and vocational schools because college is truly not meant for everyone. This is a time for hope and change. Together we can achieve this and make Illinois a thriving state that will once again attract people and businesses alike. Safe communities, strong economy, good education, protecting the environment and clean water
  • I recognize that there is no government program more effective in raising a child to succeed and become a good citizen than a strong and loving father and mother. Consequently, I will fight for policies that support, and do not undermine, marriage and family. Prosperity, limited government, security, peace and innovative policy solutions. Children who grew up without a father are 5 times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime. 9 times more likely to drop out of school and 20 more times likely to end up in prison. Almost a quarter of American children grew up in a single parent household. It is time we get rid of policies that give incentives for single parent household but reward fruitful marriages with tax cuts
  • LLINOIS HAS THE HIGHEST TOTAL STATE AND LOCAL TAX RATES ON A MEDIAN U.S. HOUSEHOLD, AT 15.1%. Out-of-control tax hikes, statewide and local, is one of the main cause for the large exodus from our state. The highest tax burden of this state has made it the least friendly state to start a business which explains why Illinois has the 3rd highest unemployment rate in America. Illinois has the worst pension crisis, worst bonds crisis making it the worst state for retirees, low income earners, worst for racial financial equality. We need to cut taxes, help give relief for small businesses, cut regulations, smaller government in order to boost jobs and grow the private sector.
  • Our students and parents deserve better. We need to implement and expand the school choice policy across the state. It will benefit our students and parents in general and specifically those of low-income communities. Nearly 80% of Chicago Public Schools students cannot read at grade level. Just 15% met proficiency in math. Yet the Chicago Teachers Union and other union allies want to end the Invest in Kids tax credit scholarship program providing low-income students and families with other learning options. Crimes are getting more violent; police are making fewer arrests. We must crackdown on violent and repeated offenders who terrorize our communities. We need to promote public safety above all else in order for the city to thrive
Fatherlessness, economy, affordability, personal freedoms, lower tax burden, solving the Illinois pension crisis, crime, safe and clean communities
To improve the life of the people you represent. To uphold the constitution and to continue to expand the American Dream for everyone.
We need more transparency in the government and need to hold them accountable. The reckless spending and ridiculously high debt is unfathomable. We need to bring back fiscal responsibility
