Biography
Terry Williams was born in Rutland, Vermont, and lives in Poultney, Vermont. Williams graduated from Poultney High School. He served in the Vermont Army National Guard from 1973 to 1979. He was then a commissioned armor officer from 1979 to 2004 and retired from active duty in 2004. Williams earned an associate degree from New Hampshire Technical College and a B.A. from Regents College in Albany, New York. His career experience includes working as an automotive technician, as the Vermont state deputy game warden. Williams served as vice chairman of the Poultney Selectboard and as a member of the Rutland Regional Planning Commission.[1]
Williams became a member of the Dodge House Veterans Assistance Office board of directors, the VFW 648-Rutland, the American Legion Post 39-Poultney, Disabled American Veterans, Gun Owners of Vermont, and the National Rifle Association (NRA). William also served as vice president of the Vermont Federation of Sportsman’s Clubs and director of the Federation Fund for Conservation and Training.[1]
