Tessa Gorman
As of 2018, Tessa M. Gorman was an assistant United States attorney for the Western District of Washington. On July 13, 2018, Republican President Donald Trump announced his intent to nominate Gorman to a seat on the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.[1] The White House did not submit Gorman's nomination to the U.S. Senate prior to the sine die adjournment of the 115th Congress.
Education
Gorman received a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she served as an editor of the California Law Review.[1]
Professional career
When the White House announced it's intent to nominate Gorman, she served as an honors trial attorney in the criminal division of the U.S. Department of Justice. After completing her legal studies, Gorman clerked for the Hon. Douglas Woodlock of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.[1]
