Alejandro Arrieta (Independent)

Family court reform is an area of great interest to me. The laws that are currently in place are antiquated, and need to be updated in support of current times. Many of the social ills that we see in society today (runaways, delinquency, teen pregnancies, school shootings, youth suicides) have direct correlations to courts removing parents from children's lives. We need to find ways to give children greater access to BOTH FIT parents, and ensure our courts can focus on the cases where children are truly in danger. Term limits is also of utmost importance. We need to ensure ideas in our legislatures are new, fresh, and reflective of the diverse communities that we serve.
