RETURNING OUR LEGISLATURE TO SERVANT LEADERSHIP: Public officials need to understand that they work for you! A government truly of, by and for WE THE PEOPLE. I will fight alongside you for the needs in our communities and earn your respect. We must rid our public offices of establishment control and intimidation and replace them with regular, hard-working people who you can trust to have your family's best interests at heart.

ABOLISHING ABORTION FOR GOOD: Any laws based on Roe vs. Wade permitting the intentional brutal murder of a child without criminal prosecution are unconstitutional and should be abolished. Personhood of a preborn child has already been established in Texas law. Preborn children should have equal protection under the law. Anything less amounts to tolerating the tens of thousands of child murders each year. No part of abortion is healthcare nor is it reproductive health.

DEMANDING ELECTION INTEGRITY & SECURITY: There has been great progress made this last year in securing our elections, but there is more work to be done, beginning with increasing criminal penalties for fraudulent voting and corrupt election activities. We must continually work to improve the public trust in the integrity of our election process. As well, we need to be better educators of the election process overall to our fellow Texans.

The commitment to perform his or her duties in the role of an elected official with the mindset of working for the people is the most important principle in public office. Humility in service are extremely important, as is the commitment to legislate as good steward of other people's money. Transparency is of most importance, as well as the willingness to de-complicate complex issues in order for increased understanding and participation by the people he or she serves in their district.
The core responsibilities of the role of a State lawmaker are to listen to the constituents' concerns on issues in the district, thoroughly investigate and educate oneself on all factors of the issue by engaging the community and subject experts, and then consider potential solutions that a state law could be used to improve the situation, without unnecessarily or arbitrarily creating another law. A lawmaker should be willing to thoroughly educate themselves on all issues before them, and aggressively champion solutions to critical issues, including willingness to work to repeal laws when necessary. Another very important core responsibility is to maintain their integrity and never to be compromised by any potential benefit to themselves or their interests, but to keep their word to their constituents to legislate as they promised to.
