Thaddeus Ynigues was a candidate for Ward 6 representative on the Las Vegas City Council in Nevada. He was defeated in the primary election on April 4, 2017.

At the time of his 2017 run for office, Ynigues was a realtor. His professional experience also includes work as a firearms trainer, as the owner and operator of a Segway tour company, and in law enforcement for Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.[1][2]

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the following would be Ynigues's priorities for the city council if elected: "Increase law enforcement presence in Ward 6, improve business sustainability in the city, increase cooperative efforts across jurisdictions in the valley."[6]
