The Morning After: Wisconsin Supreme Court election still not decided
April 6, 2011
Wisconsin: As of 6 AM today, the race for the Wisconsin Supreme Court is a close one, with a difference of 550 to 1000 votes. The incumbent David Prosser is leading, but with such a small margin, a recount is certainly possible. The national interest in the election encouraged voters to the polls, as about 1.5 million people have cast ballots in the election.[1][2]
If JoAnne Kloppenburg unseats Prosser it will be only the sixth time in the court's history that an incumbent lost re-election, the most recent instance being Louis Butler in 2008.[3]
