Theodore L. Carlson was a judge on the Nebraska Court of Appeals. He took office on December 1, 1998.[1] On April 16, 2011 he passed away after battling cancer.[2][3] On June 24, 2011, Michael Pirtle was appointed as his replacement.
Education
Judge Carlson received his B.A. degree from Omaha University in 1960, his L.L.B. and J.D. degrees from the Creighton University School of Law in 1963 and 1968, respectively.[1]
Career
Judge Carlson worked as a private practice attorney in Omaha for 6 years. In 1967, he became an Assistant City Prosecutor. In 1970, he became an Assistant Omaha City Attorney. From 1971 to 1983, he worked as an Omaha Municipal Court Judge. He then judged on the Douglas County District Court (District 4) until his appointment to the Court of Appeals in 1998.[1]
