On November 8, 2022, Limpert and Melinda H. McGunnigle won the open election for the Onondaga County Court to replace retired judges Stephen Dougherty and Thomas J. Miller. Limpert and McGunnigle defeated Annaleigh Porter and Jeffrey Schiano.[2]
