Kazakos ran for re-election to the 21st Judicial District.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 46.7 percent of the vote. He competed against Donald R. Buie, Valene Franco, Andrew Keever, and Daniel B. Anthony.
General: He defeated Valene Franco in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 57.3 percent of the vote.
