I am a retired Navy veteran with a combined active & reserve time of 26 years.
  • Roll back the authoritarian powers of state government especially those of the governor.
  • Stop the influx of political campaign funding from out of state people, businesses and political action committees.
  • Restore Maine's K-12 educational quality of education from dead last in New England to one of the best.
Vocational education and veteran's affairs.
Theodore Roosvelt because of his concern for the environment and willingness to take on the big money interests that was controlling government.
Willingness to thoroughly read and understand a bill they will be voting on and vetting the businesses and organizations that may positively or negatively be impacted by the bill.
Willingness to thoroughly read and understand a bill they will be voting on and not simply comply with the whims of their political party or lobbyists.
A Maine with greater educational achievements and job opportunities.
All quiet on the Western Front. Fallacy of war and authoritarian governments.
The current American system of checks & balances is the best.
Prevent various organizations and businesses from quelching economic growth to make Maine solely a recreational destination or to address an issue the majority of Mainers don't agree is a priority.
It is critical to build relationships even with members of one's opposing party..
What’s the difference between death and taxes? Congress doesn’t meet every year to make death worse.
Absolutely. The legislature should not grant such powers unless there is a two thirds majority and these powers will expire after a reasonable amount of time.
A bill to require car inspections only when a car is being sold or if law enforcement finds a safety violation later on.
Education, energy and veteran's affairs.
It is an absolute must so all obstacles to delay or prevent the news media or individual citizens from getting such information must be removed.
It needs to change so the complete text of the bill is simplified to a paragraph and clearly printed on the form being signed. Signature gatherers should also be registered Maine voters.
