Theresa Brennan was a district court judge for the 53rd District Court in Michigan.[1] She was appointed to the office by Governor Jennifer Granholm in 2005, and elected in 2006.[2][3] The Michigan Supreme Court removed Brennan from office in June 2019 after she was accused of criminal charges and ethics violations.[4]

Brennan ran for re-election to the 53rd District Court.
General: She defeated Dennis Brewer in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 57.3 percent of the vote.[5] 

Education

Brennan received her undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University in 1979 and her J.D. degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1982.[3]

Career

Prior to her judicial appointment, Brennan was a partner at the law firm of Brennan & Burns for about twenty-two years.[3]
