Campaign themes
2015
Pickett listed the following campaign priorities on her website:[2]
“ | My dream is to create a techonologically [sic] advanced center for children. One that fosters a concrete appetite for self study while increasing knowledge of technology in children.
We can enhance existing community garden projects, and plant more gardens to eradicate food deserts in our community. We desperately need job and vocational training to allow families economic independence. We need to do secure funding for improving our neighborhoods. There is no such thing as a homeless problem, there is only an affordable and accessible housing problem. And of course, we need to get accountability out of our police, sheriff, judicial, and prison system. They work for us, we do not work for them.[3] |
