Think Big America builds on the progress that Governor JB Pritzker’s administration and its allies have made in Illinois and takes the fight to right wing extremists all across the country. By helping to support initiatives that expand rights and make life better for working families, Think Big gets big things done for all Americans.[3]

Leadership

Think Big America was established by Democratic Governor of Illinois J.B. Pritzker. At its founding in 2023, Think Big America's board of directors included Pritzker advisers Desirée Rogers, who previously worked in President Barack Obama’s administration, Illinois state Rep. Political activity

Ballot measure activity

When it was founded in 2023, 19th News reporter Grace Panetta reported that ballot measures related to abortion would be the group's main focus but "Pritzker and his team said the organization’s mission will also expand to fighting anti-LGBTQ+ laws and book bans" and "could also support lawsuits challenging abortion bans in the states."[4] Think Big America spent $250,000 in support of Ohio Issue 1, Right to Make Reproductive Decisions Including Abortion Initiative in 2023 and also donated to four Virginia state Senate candidates and the Democratic Party of Virginia in that year, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.[5]

In 2024, Think Big America spent over $1 million and had a dedicated advisor supporting the passage of Nevada Question 6, Right to Abortion Initiative, the Washington Post reported[6]. The group also contributed at least $250,000 to support Arizona Proposition 139, Right to Abortion Initiative, $525,000 to support the Montana Democratic Party and the passage of Montana CI-128, Right to Abortion Initiative, $400,000 in support of Nebraska Initiative 439, Right to Abortion Initiative, and at least $500,000 backing Florida Amendment 4, Right to Abortion Initiative.[6][7][8][9]
