Thomas A. Cannon Jr. is a judge for the Delaware County Circuit Court in Indiana. He was elected in 2008, and took office in January 2009.[1] He was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[2]

Primary: He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. [2][3] 

2008

In 2008, Cannon ran for the fifth seat of the Delaware County circuit court. In the Democratic primary he ran against two other opponents, Kimberly S. Dowling and Ronald L. Henderson. Cannon won the primary receiving 41% of the vote. In the general election he ran against Republican opponent Chris M. Teagle. Cannon won receiving 59% of the vote.[4]

Education

Cannon received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1974.[5]

Career

Prior to joining the court Cannon was a partner at the law firm Cannon & Burns.[1]
