My name is Tom Barr, my wife Susy and I have been married for the past thirty-four years. We are the proud parents of two adult children. We have resided in The area of the 137th Consecutively for the past thirty years and have lived in the same home for sixteen years. We have been invested in this area for the entire thirty years. We have worked to make Springfield and Greene County the best place to live. Having been a small business owner for twenty-eight years that created hundreds of jobs of I believe in giving back to the community that has been so good to us. The new 137th has no incumbent due to the redistricting process.
I believe my conservative values and proven experience as a business owner are the qualities residents seek to represent them in Jefferson City. It’s vital we elect leaders who understand what it takes to create jobs and not just spend other people’s money. I will Raise the Barr For Missouri, as we listen to the needs and aspirations of the residents of the 137th District.
- Community Safety- I will ensure our first responders always have the resources necessary to effectively protect our neighborhoods. I am honored to be endorsed by the Southern Missouri Professional Firefighters and Greene County Sheriff Jim Arnott. They know I will have their back no matter what.
- Grow Our Economy- As a small business owner, it is important to me that we attract the right businesses and jobs to Greene County. That means high skilled jobs so that our local graduates can find employment here at home.
- Pro Life and Pro-Liberty-I will never compromise on the conservative values I was raised with. Missouri and our Nation are great because of our founding principles.
Making Missouri Government Smarter and Smaller. In my role as Greene County Circuit Clerk, I have streamlined government and enhanced services. I believe that can be done at the State level. We must continue to innovate and eliminate unnecessary regulations and trim the fat of government.
