Thomas Bennett was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Northern District of Alabama. He was appointed in June of 1995 and he retired from the court on September 16, 2015.

Education

Judge Bennett earned his undergraduate and graduate degree in economics and has taught economics on the university level. In 1976 he graduated with his Law Degree.

Career

Bennett was a law clerk for the Honorable John R. Brown, United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. Judge Bennett is licensed to practice law in West Virginia and Texas.
