Thomas Beverly
Thomas Beverly is a judge of the Florida 4th Circuit Court. His current term ends on January 7, 2031.
Beverly won re-election for judge of the Florida 4th Circuit Court outright in the general election on November 5, 2024, after the primary and general election were canceled.
Beverly was appointed to this position by Gov. Charlie Crist on January 12, 2010. He took office on February 8 to replace the late Peter Fryefield.[1][2]
Education
Beverly received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. He then earned his law degree from the University of Florida College of Law.[3]
Career
Beverly began his career as an assistant state attorney in 1984. He then practiced with the law firms of Gentry and Phillips (1986 - 1988) and Bedell, Dittmar, DeVault, Pillans & Coxe (1988 - 2004). He then became Deputy General Counsel for the City of Jacksonville, a position he held until his judicial appointment in January of 2010.[1][3]
