Thomas Boyd

Thomas Boyd was the chief judge for the 55th District Court in Michigan.[1] He was appointed to the court by former Governor Jennifer Granholm on June 29, 2005, to replace retired Judge Pamela McCabe. Boyd was elected to the court in 2006 and re-elected in 2008 and 2014.[2][3]

Education
Boyd received his undergraduate degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University in 1985 and his J.D. degree from the Wayne State University Law School in 1990.[2]
Career
Boyd served as an assistant attorney general from 1995 until his appointment to the 55th District Court in June 2005. He also previously worked as an attorney in private practice, specializing in traffic crash cases and general litigation.[2]
