Biography
Thomas Brown earned a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from Texas Tech University in 2014. He has worked as a registered landscape architect and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Brown has been affiliated with the Handley Neighborhood Association and the Historic Handley Development Corporation.

Crime and Safety, Public infrastructure, Positive development to bring the same career opportunities, restaurants, entertainment, and retail to District 5 that is available in the rest of the city.

Development code, Zoning, Capitol improvement projects.

No person, but there are examples of innovative and successful redevelopment that can be studied to help improve District 5.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Honesty and transparency.
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
1. Knowledge and background in what makes for successful development and attract new business and investors. 2. Knowledge and experience in city processes. 3. Highly motivated and ambitious to advocate for and help better East Fort Worth.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
1. To be an advocate for the elected district, and fight for its improvement. 2. To represent the citizens of the district and help in every feasible way solve all reasonable problems that arise in the neighborhoods. 3. To be in regular and transparent contact with the citizens of the district, to keep them informed of things that are happening, any problems that arise, and what you are doing to solve them.
What legacy would you like to leave?
I do not believe leaving a legacy is important, or something that elected officials should focus on. Elected officials are elected to represent and better their district, not become famous.
Do you believe that it’s beneficial for holders of this office to have previous experience in government or politics?
No, but I believe they should have an understanding of city processes and the laws that govern the processes.
