Thomas Carmody, Jr.
Thomas Carmody, Jr. was a Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 6. He was first elected to the chamber in 2007.
Carmody was unable to run for re-election in 2019 due to term limits.
In the 2014 legislative session, Carmody and 12 other members of the House formed the Louisiana Legislative Conservative Coalition. The coalition, under the chair of Rep. Alan Seabaugh (R), was formed with the intent of pulling the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation in a conservative direction and re-instilling conservative principles to the delegation.[1]
Biography
Carmody earned his B.F.A. from the Louisiana State University College of Design in 1983. His professional experience includes working as a real estate broker.[2]
