Thomas D. Wilson is the chief judge for the 4th Circuit Court and Jackson County Probate Court in Jackson County, Michigan. He was appointed to this position in 2011, effective the following year. He was elected to the court on November 7, 2006 and took office the following January. His six-year term ends on January 1, 2019.[1][2][3]
Education
Wilson received his B.A. degree in Finance from Michigan State University in 1985 and his J.D. degree from Wayne State University in 1988.[4]
Career
Wilson first worked as a law clerk and bailiff for the Hon. Russell E. Noble, former judge of the 4th Circuit Court, from August of 1988 to January of 1989. He then worked as a law clerk and associate attorney for the law firm of Aymond, Sullivan, Whedon & Thompson through 1992. In 1993, he opened his own firm, Thomas D. Wilson, PC. He worked there until he was elected to the circuit court in 2006. He has also served as a Special Assistant Attorney General, Jackson County Commissioner, Board Member for Family Services & Children's Aid, Committee Member for the SMILE Program for divorcing parents and member of the Napoleon Township Planning Commission.[4]
2012 election
Wilson was re-elected after running unopposed in 2012.[5][6]
