Thomas E. Harris is a judge of the Ashtabula County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio. He was elected on November 4, 2014, to a term that expired on February 8, 2021.[1] Harris filled the seat vacated by Judge Alfred Mackey.[2]

Harris was previously the judge for the Conneaut Municipal Court in Ashtabula County, Ohio. He was appointed to the court in 1988.[3][4]

Education

Harris received his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron and his J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law.[5]

Harris ran for election to the Ashtabula County Court of Common Pleas.
Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 65.7 percent of the vote. He competed against Tom Brown.
General: He defeated Ariana E. Tarighati in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 58.3 percent of the vote. [2][7]

Harris ran for re-election to the Conneaut Municipal Court.

General: He won without opposition in the general election on November 5, 2013.
