Thomas Farber

Thomas Farber is an acting justice for the New York County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 1st Judicial District of New York. He was appointed to this position in 2007.[1][2]
Biography
Education
Farber received his B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1974 and his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School in 1978.[1]
Career
Farber began his career in 1978 as an associate attorney of the firm Stroock, Stroock & Lavan. He worked in this position until 1987. In 1984 and 1985, he also taught at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He became an Assistant New York County District Attorney in 1987 and worked in this position through 1995. He was appointed to the New York City Criminal Court in 1996 and was reappointed in 2002. The following year, he was appointed acting justice of the Bronx County Supreme Court. He was then appointed his current position in New York County in 2007.[1]
