Thomas G. Armstrong
Thomas G. Armstrong was a Tenth Judicial District judge for Washington County, Minnesota. He was first elected to this position in 1980 and was re-elected in 1986, 1992, 1998 and 2004. His last term ended in January of 2011.
Judge Armstrong began his legal career in 1974 as a private practice lawyer in Lake Elmo, MN. He also served, from 1977 until his judicial appointment in 1980, as Mayor of Lake Elmo.
Armstrong received his B.A. (Political Science) and J.D. degrees from the University of Minnesota in 1967 and 1970, respectively. After school, he served from 1971 to 1974 as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the U.S. Army. He has served on the Army Reserve ever since then.[1]

Armstrong filed to run for re-election in 2010, but withdrew his application just before the filing deadline.[2][3]
