Thomas J. LaConte is a Superior Court judge in the Passaic County district of New Jersey. He serves on the Civil Part.[1] He was appointed in 2005 and reappointed with tenure in 2012. LaConte may serve until he reaches the mandatory retirement age in 2018.[2]

Education

LaConte received his bachelor's degree from Lafayette College and his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law.[3]

Career

Before joining the Superior Court, LaConte was a senior partner at Cole, Schotz, Meisel, Forman, and Leonard. From 1979 until his appointment in 2005, he served as a municipal attorney for North Caldwell. He was also a lecturer of contract and construction litigation at the Institute for Continuing Legal Education.[3]
