Thomas Johnson (Ohio)
Thomas W. Johnson was a member of the Ohio Public Utilities Commission (PUCO) from 2014 to 2019. He was first appointed to the commission in 2014 by Governor John Kasich.[1] Johnson served as PUCO Chairman from 2014 to 2015. He resigned the leadership position in March 2015, citing personal reasons, but stayed on the PUCO for the remainder of his appointed term, which ran through April 2019.[2]
Although the PUCO is nonpartisan, Johnson identifies as a Republican.
Biography
Johnson served for 22 years in the Ohio House of Representatives. After leaving the state legislature, Johnson served as the director of the Office of Budget and Management under then-Governor Bob Taft.[1]
